It was a fateful decision when Jacq and Will decided to book me for their wedding wayyy back in 2005. Since then, I got them both into frisbee, they got me into hockey, and we’ve become good friends with lots of good memories. Here’s a handful from a session I did with Jacq and her family toward the end of the summer (you’ll rarely see me in front of a camera, but I gave in this one time so that the two Will’s could bookend Jacq). I’m going to miss seeing Ethan and Emmett on the sidelines of games!

We always felt a great connection with Danielle & James – the whole Asian/Caucasian thing… the shared love of frisbee… getting married on my birthday. So as expected, we had a super easy and fun day working with them. Throw in a beautiful summer day, a gorgeous church out in Lorette, a couple of frisbees, a custom-made photo booth backdrop, a radiant bride, and a groom all spiffed up in his air force stripes… it was pretty hard not to get great pictures. Congrats Danielle & James!

A bright sunny day in the country, a lovely flower garden, an awesome old-school cabin, a wedding party full of personality, and a beautiful wedding surrounded by many of our own good friends… it was simply a joy shooting Ali & Steve’s wedding. Congratulations you two! Wishing you all the best in your new life together. Here’s just a small sample of the many great moments and expressions at your wedding.

Engaged and soon to be married, this is Rosie and Harkie. The weather was having a hard time deciding what it wanted to be that day, so we got a little bit of everything – rain showers, sun showers, big clouds, bright blue skies. It was fun nipping in and out of buildings in the Exchange to avoid the rain, and then getting that little burst of sun at the end of the shoot. Looking forward to shooting their wedding this weekend!

Slowly, slowly catching up with editing. I should’ve moved in February!
At any rate, here is a family portrait shoot with the Smiths. What was supposed to be an outdoor shoot in the back yard was rather abruptly denied as the rain decided to pour down. But all it took was moving a little furniture around (some great retro pieces to boot) and we managed to pull off a nice little session. The Smiths were a fantastic family with some great personalities, some awesome hair, and a whole lot of fun. A quick sneak into the session:
