A few weeks ago, I posted some of the photobooth images from Robyn & JR’s wedding. Now that I’ve finished processing all the images from their wedding, I wanted to post a few of my faves. I’ve particularly enjoyed playing with off-camera lighting at weddings lately, and there’s quite a few from this wedding that I thought looked pretty neat.

Coming down to the wire… Christmas is around the corner! Robyn and JR were just married this past weekend and I got the chance to shoot another photo booth at their reception. Once again, everyone had a grand old time posing in front of the camera! Here are a couple of my faves from the booth that evening:

I’ve done my fair share of Filipino weddings and have worked with some pretty big wedding parties, but I think the entourage for Ariane and Ryan’s wedding takes the cake – this one nearly filled the stairs at the St-Boniface Basilica! And though it’d be easy to get lost in a group that big, Ariane and Ryan never had a problem standing out from the crowd – with their great smiles and quickness to laughter, they were easily one of the most expressive and easy-to-photograph couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with. It also didn’t hurt to have their cute little son Alexander around to help steal the show. Congratulations to the newly married family! A few sneak peeks:

I’ve gotten to experience the full gamut of East Indian weddings lately, as I transitioned from a Sikh wedding two weeks ago to Manisha & Ace’s wedding which was a Hindu ceremony. The wedding was unique in that it also incorporated elements of Ace’s Filipino heritage – even though the two families came from such distinct backgrounds, I was impressed at how seamlessly the traditions blended together and how readily each family embraced one another.
Like their families, Manisha and Ace have an easy and real interaction with each other, which made it fun and easy to photograph them together. Having shot Manisha’s cousin’s wedding several years ago, I once again had the pleasure of seeing and working with a whole bunch of familiar faces. Between the two families, there were so many animated characters that it was hard to ever put the camera down that night. Congrats Manisha & Ace! Hopefully the images are able to capture the energy of your day!
