Hope you’re all enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Here’s a session with Vickie and Bryan, along with the ever camera-friendly Sarah and their newest addition to the family – baby Evan.  Much like on Vickie and Bryan’s wedding day, Sarah nearly stole the show again, prancing around the park, cute as a button. That said, we did manage to get a couple of her little brother, and mom and dad too. It was great connecting with them again on a beautiful evening at St-Vital Park – I really loved the warmth in some of these pictures:

It was a fateful decision when Jacq and Will decided to book me for their wedding wayyy back in 2005. Since then, I got them both into frisbee, they got me into hockey, and we’ve become good friends with lots of good memories.  Here’s a handful from a session I did with Jacq and her family toward the end of the summer (you’ll rarely see me in front of a camera, but I gave in this one time so that the two Will’s could bookend Jacq). I’m going to miss seeing Ethan and Emmett on the sidelines of games!

At any rate, here is a family portrait shoot with the Smiths. What was supposed to be an outdoor shoot in the back yard was rather abruptly denied as the rain decided to pour down. But all it took was moving a little furniture around (some great retro pieces to boot) and we managed to pull off a nice little session. The Smiths were a fantastic family with some great personalities, some awesome hair, and a whole lot of fun. A quick sneak into the session:

It’s been two years since Kathy and Jay were married and they have since moved into a great new house and filled it with a beautiful new little daughter Ziya.  We went for a leisurely stroll through John Bruce Park and were blessed with some wonderful summer evening light.  Cute as a button, Ziya was putting her little legs to work, while Jay and Kathy ran after her and I ran after everybody.  Some faves from the session:

It was great seeing Jen and Jeff again – it’s been a few years since I shot their wedding, and with everyone in town, we managed to snap off a whirlwind portrait session of her side of the family. It was tough slogging with the humidex at about 4 million, but Jen was not deterred and power-coordinated us through it all in record time. Little Sadie is the newest in the line of pretty Armstrong girls – cute as a button and apparently a mini-Jen in both looks and fiery temperament!  Here’s a handful from the session:
